MISSION
We organize knowledge about the practice of watchmaking.
We teach watchmaking. We want to train our professionals, as well as watchmaking enthusiasts, so that it is possible to create a Portuguese watchmaking identity.
We founded the Portuguese Watchmaking Institute to pursue this path. We don't feel an extreme sense of urgency in our plans, but we are aware that the number of watchmakers and master watchmakers is rapidly decreasing, and with it their knowledge.
We chose to create an Institute to reinforce the idea of training and organizing knowledge; that's what institutes do. We expect it to become established over time and last for many generations.
TEAM
With organized knowledge and trained professionals, it is possible to define a Portuguese watchmaking identity. We founded the Portuguese Watchmaking Institute to follow this path.
