"In nature , nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything is transformed."
— Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier
It was with great enthusiasm that we organized the Vintage Watchmaking Fair — Tempo Passado, which took place on November 11, 2023, in Lisbon, at the Hotel Júpiter. This exclusive event brought together enthusiasts, collectors, and watch lovers, providing an exceptional platform to explore and acquire watches of proven quality.
During the Lisbon Vintage Watchmaking Fair, visitors had access to a wide variety of exhibitors — both companies and individuals — providing the opportunity to buy and sell vintage and used watches, parts and tools, and various objects related to the theme, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experiences among participants.
Winning Watches
There are several advantages to acquiring vintage and/or used watches. Besides being a form of reuse with clear environmental benefits, these watches invariably possess a unique aesthetic and historical value, making them highly desirable collector's items. Some watches tend to appreciate in value over time, while others represent a predominantly emotional and invaluable worth to their owners. In either case, all available vintage watches have stood the test of time and endured to this day, and are truly winning timepieces.
"This was a highly anticipated event for collectors, buyers, and sellers alike, which finally took place in Lisbon, and we hope it will be just the first of many. We sought to create an event based on transparency and honesty, in which a limited number of sellers could present their watches and items for sale," says Lourenço Salgueiro, one of the event organizers.
