Miami hosts the first Time to Drive festival, with 38 watch brands and historic cars

Time to Drive, a festival that brings together watches and cars, takes place for the first time in Miami from 6 to 8 November. Created by Lex Borrero and Perri Dash and presented by 0260, it expects more than 4,000 visitors a day.
Friday is devoted to Driver's Seat, a separately ticketed track day at The Concours Club covering four decades of cars, from the 1970s to the 2000s. The main programme runs on Saturday and Sunday at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center.

Watchmaking is concentrated in the Collectors Club, with 38 brands and independent makers, according to Revolution, among them Chopard, Grand Seiko, Zenith, Jacob & Co., MB&F, Greubel Forsey, Ulysse Nardin, Urwerk, Arnold & Son, Armin Strom and Renaud Tixier. The Luxury Exchange is devoted to vintage watches, collectors' accessories and the secondary market.
The programme lists around 25 sessions on cars, watches, collecting, media and culture. Guests include vintage watch specialist Eric Wind, Serge Michel, chief executive of Armin Strom, racing driver Felipe Nasr and photographer Larry Chen. The cars include Penske's Daytona-winning Porsche No. 7, a Ferrari 250 GTO and the Porsche 964 Turbo from the film Bad Boys.
Also on 6 November, WatchPro is holding Women in Watches in Miami, at TIMELUXE in Miami Worldcenter, with two panels: one on women's careers in watchmaking and the other on what women are looking for in watches today.
