Oris celebrates 60 years of its iconic diving model with the special Divers Sixty-Five 60th Anniversary Edition , a watch that pays homage to the original 1965 design.
The new model retains distinctive elements such as the 40 mm stainless steel case, the bidirectional rotating bezel and a Swiss automatic mechanical movement.
The vintage details on the black dial stand out, including shorter markers, large luminescent numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock and the retro Oris logo with the word “ waterproof ” – a reissue never seen before in the brand’s contemporary history. In addition to the stainless steel bracelet, the watch comes with an additional leather strap and a caseback with engravings commemorating the model’s 60th anniversary.
The Divers Sixty-Five line dates back to 1965, when Oris launched its first dive watch with a 36mm case, domed acrylic crystal and high-contrast dial, designed for both functionality and style. In 2015, the brand reissued the model for its 50th anniversary, modernizing it with contemporary materials such as a 40mm stainless steel case and domed sapphire crystal, while maintaining the retro design.
The following year, a version without numerals was introduced, followed by chronograph variants and limited editions. Over the past decade, the Divers Sixty-Five has become one of Oris’ most popular models, renowned for its versatile style and reliability.
In 2024, almost ten years after the relaunch of the Divers Sixty-Five , Oris announced the Divers Date , an everyday sports watch with an evolved design and performance improvements. The model features a more robust 39 mm case, a scratch- and fade-resistant ceramic bezel insert, a quick-change strap system and water resistance to 200 meters. Available in three color variants inspired by a 1960s industrial palette, the watch also features an improved automatic mechanical movement, now with a 41-hour power reserve.
