Service Description
A weekend designed for those who wish to get closer to watchmaking in a practical way, and assemble their own mechanical watch in a relaxed environment accompanied by an experienced watchmaker. In this 4-hour training, participants follow the entire process of building a mechanical wristwatch, from understanding its components to its final assembly. Throughout the session, each step is clearly explained, allowing participants to understand the function of each element and the logic of the whole. Direct contact with the movement provides a practical understanding of how the watch works. The training takes place in a controlled environment with close supervision, ensuring a progressive and safe experience. Each participant assembles their own watch, with individualized guidance, respecting their learning pace and guaranteeing the correct execution of each phase. The session is led by a professional with experience in watchmaking, ensuring technical rigor combined with an accessible approach. This framework allows even those without prior knowledge to complete the assembly with confidence and understanding. Held at Monte das Mariolas, in the Castelo de Vide area, this experience combines watchmaking practice with a rural tourism setting. The calm and secluded environment fosters concentration and provides a break from daily life, creating ideal conditions for focused and engaging learning. Throughout the training, participants explore the structure of a mechanical watch, understand the function of the different gears, and observe how the movement comes to life after assembly. At the end, they take home the watch they built, a direct result of their work. The training is aimed at curious individuals, enthusiasts, and collectors seeking a practical and immersive experience. No prior experience is required. Sessions are held in groups, by appointment. Accommodation is included in the experience and takes place at Monte das Mariolas, with different occupancy options, up to a maximum of 4 people per unit. Specific conditions apply during peak season. Pets are allowed, subject to additional conditions.
