This article examines a selection of horological pieces presented at TEFAF Maastricht 2026, combining object-based analysis with first-hand insight into the vetting process. Through close observation of clocks, instruments and regulators, it explores the diverse ways in which time is conceived, constructed and displayed across different historical contexts.
